Who we are

The Realist Nurse NCLEX Prep (“we”, “us”) runs this website and provides online nursing tutoring and NCLEX preparation, led by Chakeidra Kinchen, MSN-Ed, RN. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site or our services, why, and what we do with it.

Questions about this policy can be sent through the form on our home page.

What we collect

• Consultation requests. When you request a free consultation, we record your name, email address, phone number if you give one, where you are in your nursing journey, the services you are interested in, your exam timeframe and your message.
• Study guide signup. Your email address, your first name if you give it, and the page you signed up on.
• Visits to the site. If Google Analytics is switched on, it records how the site is used (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type) so we can see what is helpful. It does not tell us who you are.
• What you choose to share in a consultation. For example your practice scores or your Candidate Performance Report, so we can plan your studying.
• Technical records. Our server keeps ordinary logs: the pages requested, the time, the IP address and the browser type. We record the IP address a form was sent from so we can stop abuse.

Please do not share patient information

Our services are educational. Please never send us real patient names or any other identifiable patient information, in a form, an email or a session. When you discuss a clinical situation, describe it without identifying details.

What we do with it

• To reply to your consultation request and set up your free consultation.
• To send the free study guide and occasional study tips, if you asked for them.
• To understand how the site is used, so we can improve it.
• To keep the site working and stop automated abuse of our forms.

We do not sell your information, and we share it only with the service providers described below, who act on our instructions.

Marketing email

We only send study tips and offers to people who asked for them. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. A direct reply to your consultation request is not marketing and is sent either way.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own. If Google Analytics is switched on, Google sets analytics cookies to tell visits apart and measure how the site is used. You can block or delete them in your browser settings, or use Google’s opt out add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Who else is involved

• Our hosting provider, which runs the server this site is on.
• Our email provider, which delivers the messages this site sends.
• Google Analytics, if switched on, which measures how the site is used.
• Our video meeting service, which we use to hold online consultations.
• Cloudflare Turnstile, if the anti spam check is switched on, which sees the request so it can tell a person from a script.
• Google Fonts and public script libraries (cdnjs and jsDelivr), which serve the typefaces and some page animations and receive your IP address when they do.

How long we keep it

We keep consultation requests and the email list for as long as we need them to reply to you and to send what you asked for, then delete them. Server and activity logs are cleared on a schedule. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live you may have further rights, for example under state privacy laws. Contact us using the details above and we will respond.

Age

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
